Prince William Gets Schooled by 13-year-old, Pics of Kate Impaired His Focus: Fan's Take

While visiting the Solomon Islands on Monday, Prince William accepted the challenge of a penalty shoot-out against a 13-year-old goalkeeper and lost. William - being the president of the Football Association and a huge Aston Villa fan - you would think he would have performed a little better. However, he has had a lot on his mind this week. Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, were making their third stop of a nine-day tour of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate her Diamond Jubilee. While there I'm sure both of them were constantly wondering how a French court would rule on a request by a lawyer of Prince William and Kate to block further publication of topless photos of the Duchess taken while the couple shared what he described as a deeply intimate moment on holiday. I'm sure that's the reason the Duke of Cambridge lost the shoot-out to someone who's not old enough to drive or tall enough to ride the Superman roller coaster at Six Flags. The shoot-out was on Monday and Tuesday was the day the French court ordered the glossy celebrity magazine Closer to hand over photographs of Kate within 24 hours or face a penalty of $13,000 for every day it delayed in doing so. The court also said the French magazine would be fined $13,000 every time it republished or distributed the offensive photos. The gossip rag published 14 photos of a partially clad Kate just last Friday. When Prince William took up the offer from the 13-year-old, I'm sure he was livid and distraught about the world seeing his wife in her birthday suit. The spry, little islander, Philemon Fatai, knew going in he had the advantage on the Prince. As hundreds of locals looked on, William stepped up to take his three penalties. He stuck his first penalty into the bottom-right corner, but then his last two shots were saved by Fatai. Afterward the kid said, "He's good - but not as good as me." I know English is the official language of the Solomon Islands, but do they have another word for cocky? The kid will have an incredible story to tell his grandkids one day about how he beat Prince William in a shoot-out the week the world saw his wife's naughty parts. But I'm sure he'll leave that last part out.
